Unvented Cylinder Service
In the UK, it’s a legal requirement to be G3 qualified to work on unvented hot water systems.
Unvented hot water cylinders require annual servicing by a qualified G3 engineer to maintain their warranty. This servicing ensures the safety devices, expansion vessel, and thermostats are functioning correctly, and that the cylinder is operating as intended. Most manufacturers offer a 25-year warranty on these cylinders, but this is typically conditional on annual servicing.
